Our client, a leading specialist insurance software development company, is looking for an experienced Support Analyst to join their London team of market leading experts.

The main responsibilities of the role are as follows:
• Handle support requests from users of the system
• Working by phone and email, and where necessary face-to-face
• Helping users find their way around the system
• Understanding and diagnosing data entry problems on the system
• Using and adding to the knowledge base of help articles

The system is used by brokers and underwriters in the London market and does a complex and significant job, so mistakes do happen. At that point, the user contacts the company’s support team for help.

The team already has two full-time Support Analysts and they wish to add a third. Crucially, the current team has limited experience of working in the London insurance market, and so they want to hire someone with that experience to provide balance.

The perfect candidate would have experience of supporting users of a system in the insurance world. That might be internal support at a broker or carrier. Alternatively, it might be at a supplier of systems to the market. In either case they need to already understand the cycle of a support call and the different types of request.

To start with, this role is about handling support requests. However, a candidate who would want to grow into a role managing the team would be perfect because the current staff are taking a technical track rather than a managerial one.
